FIÐLUFJÖR 2026

Fiðlufjör is a creative and ambitious music course for violin students of all ages. Since 2017, it has enriched the cultural life of South Iceland through diverse musical events, outstanding teaching, and strong community engagement.

In 2026, the course will be held for the eighth time and, for the first time, entirely in Hveragerði, in close collaboration with Hveragerði Elementary School and the Municipality of Hveragerði.

The course is open to all violin students, regardless of teaching method.

Each year, a group of outstanding teachers—both Icelandic and international—participate in the course. Students receive new and exciting projects, take part in group lessons, improvisation, music workshops, chamber music, breakout sessions, and perform in concerts.
