The Junior Division of the Fiðlufjör Festival is for violin students who have completed the first variations from Suzuki Book 1, either on open strings or with fingers, and the first four pieces in the book. Students do not need to be enrolled in Suzuki instruction, but it is recommended to consult their own teacher about which division is best suited for the student.

During the course, students in the Junior Division will receive:

• Group lessons and ensemble playing

• Music workshop sessions in folk music

• Music workshop sessions in Brazilian music

• Break-time activities

• Folk dance classes

• The opportunity to perform at the festival’s final concert

The Junior Division begins:

9:00 a.m. on June 5 at the facilities of Hveragerði Elementary School.

Each day there will be classes from approximately 9:00/10:00 a.m. until 1:00/2:00 p.m.
Some days may be longer or shorter, and a more detailed schedule will be published later in May 2026.
